If you are a fan of one of my favorite movies “300” or familiar with the story of Sparta, you may recall what it took to become a Spartan Warrior. Male babies were inspected after birth. Those that were deemed unfit were discarded. They were thrown off a cliff. The babies that were kept were bathed in wine to make them tough. They were ignored when they cried. This began the process of helping them become emotionally resilient. At the age of seven, the boys were stripped from their comfort zone. They were taken away from the loving, comforting embrace of their mother’s, to begin a cold and rigorous educational journey designed to mold them into skilled warriors and noble citizens. At the age of 12, they were stripped of their clothing, left with nothing but a red robe, and forced to sleep in the wilderness. They were commanded to never fear darkness nor solitude. They had to scavenger hunt for food. Those that were caught stealing were beaten. Those that took the beatings like a champ, were edified and rewarded in front of their peers. They became LEADERS. They were never coddled doing this learning experience. They were EMPOWERED. They were broken down and BUILT-UP! This process helped them develop and trust their instincts. In due time, their MENTALITY changed. They found STRENGTH in weakness. The process of overcoming pain became their greatest gain. Pain not only fueled their desire to survive, but it also ignited a spirit of POWER and FEARLESSNESS to CONQUER and WIN by any means necessary.

   What’s the moral of this story? Let’s eat the elephant in the room before we begin. When trading the markets, YOU WILL LOSE AND IT WILL HURT. PERIOD! It’s inevitable. That’s part of the growing process. It’s part of life. No one ever wins 100% of the time and no one ever will. How you deal with those growing pains is TRUE WEALTH. Will you surrender and retreat, like a coward or will you embrace it! Do you have what it takes to channel the energy of failure and use it to fuel your determination, passion, and diligence? Will you allow the gift of failure to ignite a relentless fire that burns until you succeed? With all due respect for your spiritual beliefs, God says you are more than a CONQUEROR. You are strong and very courageous. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. He knew his plans and purposes for your life before you were even in your mother’s womb. You are of tremendous value to someone’s world. That’s why you were born with the gifts and talents that you possess. You are the solution to solving very important problems. Masterclass exists as a resource to help you fulfill your DESTINY. Maintain a clear vision of “why” you’re learning to trade. Your “why” is the spark that will keep you lit when you feel hopeless and defeated. In due time and with guidance from above, that spark will cause an explosion of success, happiness, and fulfillment in your life if you maintain a “by any means necessary” attitude. The difference between the Lion and the Elephant is “Attitude”. Though bigger and stronger, the elephant expects to be eaten. The Lion expects to eat. That’s why he’s the King of the Jungle.
